My husband Chris and I both love food and photography and well, he loves programming. So when I finally decided to start a blog he wrote the software for it and helped design it. Since he is a full time programmer this gave him a chance to tinker with newer technologies.
I have always loved trying new recipes, but after a long day at work, I just want to eat! During the day I work in a research lab and conclusive experimental results sometimes take weeks. What I love about cooking is that I get to see and taste the results of my experiments relatively fast. Since I am health conscious and environmentally aware, I won’t eat any old convenience food. Eating well takes a little time but a slow cooker makes it easy to come home to nutritious meals.
Last year we bought a slow cooker, and now we are welcomed home by incredible aromas and a ready-to-eat dinner. I know many people have a slow cooker stashed away collecting dust, and I want to share my successful recipes and inspire them to re-discover its benefits. I also hope my posts help anyone struggling to find time to prepare their own meals. It takes a little planning, but it is well worth it when you consider the quality of food you eat and the precious time that it frees up.
What would you do with your free time? We love going for long hikes on the weekend with our dog, entertaining friends and family and reading.
